I strive everyday to be super mom... a super human. My goal is to, as Bernard Shaw put it, "be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no "brief candle" to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and want to make burn as brightly as possible before handing it on for future generations."

Still Love to Dance!

What an amazing night we had as we danced to the Carribean beat. It's an event Skeet and I look forward to each August. It gives us a reason to dressup like a King and Queen and dance the night away. Keeping love alive... that's what it's all about!

Little Known Talent

Skeeter never ceases to amaze me... he has some talents that I think he hasn't even discovered yet! At the 2008 Chairman's Ball the theme was Carribean, but we chose Black Tie for the evening. I was skeptical at best when Skeeter and Kenny scooted off to try their luck at Limbo... especially since Skeet was wearing boots! He amazed us all as he bent backward time after time when they lowered the bar for the new round. Who would have guessed he'd be dubbed Limbo King? It was he and a 4'11 queen that took the honors for the night. It's that kind of talent that keeps me guessing what may be around the corner. You never know with Skeeter... remember the Yodeling contest he won back in 2004? What will be next?

The beginning....

OK, here it is. My first Blog is now alive! I have been asked so many times, "Do you have a Blog?" "What's the address for your blog?" and of course given the ol', "Oh, you don't have a blog?" remark... Let's face it, it's all about priorties ladies. So, I made it a priorty mainly because I have all these friends who are moving away to far off places and 90% of family lives at least 4 hours away. That makes for infrequent visits and difficulty sharing all the great things that are happening in our lives. So, my goal is to update you on what's important to me and my precious family. Enjoy!
